Trusted Kratom Vendors

The following is a short list of kratom vendors from whom I've purchased and will continue to purchase. These folks offer great customer service and good prices. Your own experience with individual vendors may vary, but the vendors below consistently impress me with their quality and service. I'm still open to reviewing samples, however, so feel free to contact me if you'd like me to try out some samples in exchange for a review.

New Kratom Review - 12/6/2017

  1. I am new to kratom and have never tried it. I have never been an opiate user but do have chronic pain, Has anyone tried kratominfusion.com. I ordered the sample pack(7 different strains 9 grams each). They had a deal buy 2 get one free, so I ended up getting a total of 189 grams for around 38 dollars. Hoping the quality is good. It was the best deal i have found on the internet, roughly costed me about 20 cents a gram to try a variety of different types.

    1. Thanks for stopping by! These folks appear to be a little out of my price range. Since I buy in bulk on a monthly basis, I have to be more cost-conscious. They may be worth a try though once or twice, at least to get some exposure to kratom. Let us know how you like it, if you end up trying it. Thanks again for reading, and leaving a comment!

  2. Hello all, this is Gina. I have made several posts on the previous blog page. Perhaps Rob you could somehow get this post over there so Coby will see it. He had inquired twice about the company Quick Kratom. I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago after reviewing their site. Let me start by saying that when I first looked there were absolutely no product reviews. However by the time I placed an order, there were dozens. I found this a bit odd but I decided to take a chance so that I could give a perspective that will helps others.

I ordered the maeng da and I was also sent a generous sample of white vein Borneo, a strain that I had never tried until now. My top three priorities when selecting a vendor-quality, quick turn around and price, in that order. They do ship same day if you order before their cutoff time. I chose priority mail and had my Kratom arrive in 48 hours. I ordered 4 oz. of maeng da-I received more than the 4oz. And the sample of the Borneo.

I found the quality to be on par with the Kratom from my go to vendor. However, I must admit that I enjoyed the Borneo much more than the maeng da. It was a bit more stimulating and great for starting the day. In fact I ordered more of that strain because I really enjoyed it. My go to vendor is Mmm, speciosa as they have always been dependable and very good to their customers. Unfortunately they don't have a Borneo. While I am partial to M.S. I do think that a little healthy competition does not hurt. So over all the experience with Quick Kratom was a positive one.

That being said, I need to highlight a new strain that M.S. has been carrying-red vein maeng da. A bit more expensive but a worthwhile treat once in awhile! I hope this information will help those who are new to Kratom or just on the fence about trying a new vendor. As always, please use Kratom responsibly and enjoy the journey through life with less pain and anxiety! ~Gina~

    1. Hi Gina! Thanks so much for taking the time to make the jump over here. That's a great review of Quick Kratom. I am working on a way to get the previous comments imported to this new blog, because I realize what a pain it is to have to navigate between two blogs. I'll see if I can find a way to notify Colby to head over this way. Thanks so much!

  3. Hi Rob, thank you for taking the time to respond! So now I actually have some questions for you. I am a daily consumer of Kratom so I am seriously researching buying in bulk. I checked Bikhuk to find an alert that they could not ship to the 10 states listed. Thankfully, PA is not one of them...yet! Instead they direct people to Bikhuk.us. I wanted to know which site you purchase from and a particular strain you prefer. Like I've said, I do have a favorite vendor but it would definitely be more economical to buy in bulk and get the special goodies from M.S. What say you? Thank you again! ~Gina~

    1. Hi Gina. It's my pleasure! I alternate between Mmm, Speciosa (MS) and The Kratom King (TKK). Both are located in the Austin, TX area, and I like to support local business whenever I can. I'll typically get 500g of Classic Bali or Baik Bali from MS, or PC Bali from TKK. Bali has been the most consistently beneficial variety of kratom for me. I'll occasionally experiment with some other strains from MS, though I'm not consistent in my choices. I tend to try different combinations, but always end up coming back to Bali. If I'm not ordering from MS or TKK, I like to order from Mood & Mind (MM). Their quality and service are great. Additionally, they offer other herbs/plants, so in case kratom is no longer an option, I can try out some of their other offerings (kanna and kava are two that I like, though quite different from kratom). I hope this helps gives you an idea, although I realize I was all over the map!

    2. Do you have a favorite from Bikhuk.us? Anon how was the product you ordered from them? There rates are so incredibly cheap, but you have to but in such huge quantities. It would be a big financial hit if I never received the product, or the product doesn't work. (Kratom in essential for my chronic pain)

  4. I am thrilled to see someone finally mentioning the kratom king! I usually go to phytoextractum, and their products are consistently great quality. But, this wk. I ran into some financial issues and had no choice but to go with a cheaper place. I just now tried their red vein powdered kratom and am waiting to see if it's good quality. Rob, have you received good quality from tkk? Or, anyone else? It's always nerve wracking waiting to find out. Thanks so much.... angie.

    1. Hi Angie!

I'm a fan of the PC Bali from TKK. It's good by itself, or as a base for a mixture. I haven't had as much luck with their other offerings, so I stick with the Bali, which is very reliable. I don't find their other offerings bad, but they just don't work much for me. They used to offer a Bali Fusion (a product of an accidental mix-up of two strains) which was really good, but I don't think they offer it anymore.

Good luck. I hope your experience is great, and thanks so much for commenting!

      Rob

    2. @Rob Seaver

I dont remember their Bali Fusion. However it you check the website their standard Bali/PC is actually a mix itself. It contains red, green, and white Bali strains mixed together

    1. Hi!

Kratom Therapy, in my experience, has a high quality product, and great customer service. They answered an inquiry of mine on a weekend, which I thought was great! Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy from them on a monthly basis. Their prices exceed what my monthly budget would allow. The vendors I've listed here have reasonable prices, great customer service, and good quality products. I'm glad you left a comment, though, because other folks can certainly benefit from your experience! Thank you!

    2. Just to clarify I use kratom for pain, anxiety and sleep.I live in Florida so if theres a vendor closer so that the shipping would not be long that would be a plus. The last and only vendor I used the classic red Bali wasn't to bad,but I got a tolerance after two days and I was only using 1 tablespoon twice a day maybe one day one tablespoon three times a day.So please could someone turn me onto a deascent vendor with good bali Thanks again Jay.

  7. Hey! I would like to take a second to recommend a website. I feel as if it should be given a chance. Its a company called Zion Herbals, and is based out of Richmond, VA, where I'm from. They have really good prices on bulk kratom and the quality is outstanding. They were willing to show lab reports and etc. when I questioned their validity. If anyone tries it, I would love to see them prosper. A review on them would be great.

    1. Hey Ty,

Thanks for the recommendation! People land on this page looking for different vendors to try out, so hopefully, your feedback will generate some traction for them. I don't often sample new vendors, because I've found a few that I like and trust. At some point, I may add a "Other Recommendations" section that lists various suggestions from readers. Sometimes, I like to live on the edge and try a different vendor, so I may give them a try at some point :-) Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Do you have a favorite vendor for extracts or enhanced Kratom? I try to stick to bulk power for cost and tolerance reasons, but the powders are not good for traveling.

    1. Hi there! I don't actually use enhanced kratom or extracts. I'm pretty dull, so usually stick with Bali. If I'm traveling, I just pre-measure out what I typically use in a day, and throw it in a ziploc bag. Thanks for commenting!

    1. Hello! I took a look at their prices, and saw $144 for a pound of Bali. They're definitely not the cheapest. I typically get Bali for $120 per pound or less at either TheKratomKing or BotanicalWellness. If you do end up giving saveonkratom.com a try, it'd be great to hear about their quality!

    2. Thanks Rob, I just looked at their website and they have commercial bali 69$ dollars a pound or $129 for two pounds is "commercial " somehow different than just regular bali? I'm pretty new to kratom. the only website I've tried is phytoextractum..thank you!

      Delete
    3. Hi there. It looks like I missed those prices in my cursory look at the site. I see the prices now. That's pretty amazing. I'd really be curious as to the quality, but won't get around to restocking until the middle of next month. I wish I could say I knew what "commercial" meant. I would e-mail the owners of the site and see what they say. For a more unbiased opinion, you might try the Kratom Association Facebook page. They don't allow discussions about vendors there, but you could probably get some answers as to the difference between commercial grade kratom and standard.

      Delete
    4. A quick Google search resulted in the following site: http://kratomonline.org/kratom-strains/. It looks like "commercial" refers to the potency of the plant, where commercial is the weakest: "The grade of a leaf refers to the potency of the product as determined by the harvesting method and alkaloid content from a specific tree. You will see grades labelled from weakest to strongest as Commercial, Premium, Super, Enhanced, and Ultra Enhanced. Again, due to a lack of uniformity in applying these titles, it matters far more that you buy from a high quality seller than that you purchase a supposedly higher quality grade."

      Delete
    5. I recently ordered Red Borneo and Vietnam from saveonkratom, and was very disappointed with the potency. Despite their claims of potency, taking my usual amount results in very little effects. Much better kratom out there for the price.

    1. Hey Chris!

Thanks for the feedback. I've been looking at ways to save money as well. The cheapest I've come across so far is BotanicalWellness.com. I can get a pound for $95.00 (+$5 shipping). I haven't done enough business with them yet to list them as a trusted vendor, but they seem to be on the ball. I've heard anecdotes of people getting kratom for cheaper, but haven't come across those vendors yet. I have about a $130 monthly kratom, and I'll usually use a combination of the vendors I've listed on this page to get a combination of strains that works for me. The Facebook Kratom Association page doesn't allow vendor talk, but I'm sure you could join the group and get some recommendations via private messages.

Thanks for checking this dinky little page out. I've seen a couple recommendations for OnlineKratom.com, so I may have to check them out to satisfy my curiosity.

  12. Hi Everybody,

Hope all is well with ya'll. I have been tinkering with the idea of trying kratom for about a year now but get my head all clouded up between trying to seperate real reviews from shills, prices, amounts, recipes, etc etc etc and then eventually abandon the idea all over again.

Well this time I'm pretty serious.

Does anyone here have any recipes they can recommend? I seen one site that was selling 25grams for $15.95. That doesn't seem right to me at all. How much does one normally use for one "serving"? Any information you can spare for someone like me who is still wet behind the ears in the realm of kratom would greatly be appreciated. Thanx. :)

    1. Hi! I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. It's been a busy week! I started out with about a teaspoon of kratom when I first began taking it, and then experimented with different strains and amounts. I typically have about 1/2 to 1 tablespoon in a dose these days. I usually mix mine with a strongly flavored tea like peppermint to help with the bitter taste. I would start with Bali, and then branch out from there to determine which strain works best for you. I can only speak to the vendors I've listed here, but you may find one you prefer more. Hope this helps!

    1. Hi i deal with chronic pain as a result of 2 brain surgeries, i was all jumbled up to at first (still kinda am) but ive been ordering from Quick Kratom (Maeng Da) the powder, i mix it in tea and it tastes horrible, but anyone that deals with chronic pain i think would think that wouldnt be to much of a down fall, i put 2 teaspoons in a 20oz of tea (i also have a high tolerance to everything from the yrs of meds) honestly it has changed my life. I orger 4oz for about 80$ with shipping an i alway recieve it in 3 days as long as i order before 12 pm, they send it out that day. I ended up on this site because although it has been working, it is getting rather expensive, but ive been affraid to try yet another vendor. So i hope that helps you in some way, also if anyone else knows of another vendor that i should try please let me know. On this last search out there in kratomland (lol) im thinking about trying Mmmspecialosa or Misty Mountain Herbals?

I'm new to kratom and have been searching for the best strain to help with my opiate withdrawals. after researching I discovered that Bali would be the best thing but I'm confused on which type of bali I should get, premium or red bali? What's the difference? I'm looking for something that is really relaxing no stimulation or energy. Any input would be very appreciated. I also plan on using the vendor the kratom king so any recommendation on vendors would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for quality products and really want to by from a vendor that is recommended. Thanks in advance.

    1. I agree, but I have yet to encounter anyone who has tried tinctures. Hopefully, someone will chime in -- perhaps it'd be a good idea for a guest blog post! The powder is tough, I agree. I've gotten used to it, but usually shake it up with some juice, or mix it up with a strong tea. If you do make the jump to tinctures, let us know how it turns out!

    2. Hey, nice to find some honest open discussion on vendors. Very key info for daily users. I personally only tried a tincture one time from one vendor, IAmShaman, about two years ago. My personal opinion was that is was relatively ineffective and worthless. There may be better ones from better vendors, as I have switched to either MmmSpeciosa or Herbal Salvation, who I have my first order from arriving any minute now, but I'll never know because I'll never purchase it again from anyone. Hope this helps! I would stick to finding the easiest way for you personally to ingest it. I don't have too big a problem, but I've heard of people mixing their selected dose in a yogurt cup?

      Delete
    3. I actually mix mine in with Greek yogurt quite a bit. It does a surprisingly good job of masking the taste and texture of kratom, so as long as you don't mind green-tinted yogurt, it works out well!

      Delete
    4. The tictures are good in theory but the process involves extracting the good components out of kratom with alcohol...like everclear and then evaporate the alcohol down to a smaller volume ,leaving the kratom concentrated. The problem is that sometimes too much heat is used in the evaporation process and the good compents get cracked or destroyed. If the evaporation was done by letting it evaporate over days then it would be fine. This is what I do at my lab at home. Commercially I would not waste the money

    5. Take a small pill bottle..maybe 3 inches high and 1 inch in diameter. Add your kratom and shoot it to the back of your mouth and tongue. Hold it there and corrall it. Drink it down with something very sweet. Keep liquid cool but not cold so that any remaining kratom can be swished around without hurting your teeth. Or you can take the powder and add enough honey to make a thick paste. Put the paste in your mouth and then swallow it with something sweet. I used double strength cyrstal lite peach tea. Hope this helps. I have been involved with kratom since 2004 and at that time I was an only one. Today I am so glad to see boards like this one. I will try to help everyone that I can. My name is Dr.B. I have a Ph.D in biochemsitry and have worked in the development of many drugs for the Upjohn Company.Everyone take care and be happy and pain free!

    6. I hope this post is read .... I do realize it was started under a discussion of vendors, but wanted to continue where we left off.

I would like to share my journey thru the Kratom ingestion maze with all the new people just starting out as I was with the hope of helping at least one or two!

The above suggestions were great and I did try them all. Here are my results:
      1. Greek Yogurt... Not a terrible way, slightly palatable until I tried it with a strawberry blend. You had to chew the strawberries, and that was just too much for me. The gagging became almost unbearable again.
      2. Pill Bottle... GREAT delivery system. I used Sunny-D for wash. Not too, too bad; but I found I always had to do way more swishing than I'd have like. Hence, the gagging started again.
      3. Tea.... Rob always talks about making his into a tea. Google found me a simple recipe for Kratom Tea. Now is where you're going to get a good laugh!!! I've never made or drank tea before, so I really didn't know what to expect. The recipe sounded easy enough, so I was off to the races.
      Here is what I did:
Place 1-1/2 cups of water in tea kettle
Add approx. 3 Tblsp of Kratom
Stirred well, put on lid, snapped steam nozzle down and waited for the whistle

Well, here's where the fun started!! LMAO!! Went in to turn the heat down to simmer only to find that along with the steam coming out of the whistle, so was a green goopy gloppy kratom mixture as well!!! (All over the Wustof knife block and the open bread basket)! Argh!!

After trying to scrape up as much of my kratom as possible and get it back into the kettle, I opened all vents and put it back on to simmer for 10 -15 minutes as recipe called for. They said when it turned red or yellow it would be done. This part didn't happen for me. After 25 minutes I thought it would be good enough to strain. Using cheese cloth, I strained the mixture into a large jar, but ended up having to use more water to get the thick gloop out.
After letting it cool slightly, I tried to put a little lemon juice in a cup with my new "Kratom Tea" - Not a good flavor combo for me. I chugged, gagged, chugged a little more, gagged, then ate a strong dill pickle. Then I noticed not all powder was strained, so I put it through another cheese cloth strain. I'm not sure if I did any of this right.

Does ANYONE have a better tea recipe? I could see this working in the future. It is slightly better than toss-and-wash; but.... I think I'm doing something wrong with the brewing process.

    1. Hi, there! Most people with chronic pain seem to go with a red vein Borneo (Bali) strain, from what I've read. I take kratom primarily for energy and G.I. issues, so I can't give a whole lot of information on pain management with kratom. It did seem to help a few months ago for an episode of severe back pain, in combination with Ibuprofen/Aleve.

    2. In general green strains produce an energetic type euphoria and the red strains produce a calming pain free euphoria. The best for pain is what I used after knee replacement.BUT I am a Ph.D chemist. Use Bali or enhanced ultra bali with 2 tylenol plus 2 asprins. I make a 25 X extract using bali and add this to my bali. This makes my bali as effective as prescription pain killers and makes me feel even better. I have gone through 2 knee replacements with all painkiller scripts in the garbage

They're mostly shades of green, though you'll sometimes see a slight brown or yellow tint, depending on the strain. Kratom does have a very "earthy" scent, reminiscent of tea. Enjoy and feel free to list the vendor here if you have a good (or bad) experience!

    1. Hi Jennie,

Thanks for the information! I would say, though, that some strains are more potent than others. That of course, varies from batch to batch and vendor to vendor. If you're used to taking a certain dose, and then take that same amount from another vendor/strain, it might be too much. Your symptoms sound like you took too much of an unfamiliar strain, even if it was your normal dosage for your usual strain.

I've been doing business with Mmm, Speciosa since 2012, and have never had a problem with their products. In fact, I've purchased their Tawa Tua several times without any problems. It is definitely more potent than your average Bali, though.

None of this is to say that you didn't have a legitimate bad experience, and I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you are feeling better.

On behalf of other kratom consumers, I would ask you not to take legal action. Kratom has helped many of us improve the quality of our lives. Legal action could potentially put kratom under the prying eyes of the media, and could put us all in jeopardy of not being able to acquire the kratom we use on a regular basis for medicinal purposes. I would continue to be patient and try to resolve the problem with the vendor.

    2. hi Jenny, I agree with Rob and that it would be best for all of us if you abstain from legal action. I too have been scammed in the pastand never received my money back. However I felt as Rob does and that taking legal action withdraw the wrong attention. So I took one for the teamand I'm asking you to please do the same. I am glad that you shared your story because I use the same vendor. I haven't had a bad experience per se but the past two orders I received of the mang da haven't been great quality. I'm looking to try a new vendor especially after your experience. any current recommendations would be appreciated Rob! Thanks, Holly

    3. Holly, thanks so much for adding you insights, and for your support of kratom! I just tried the Red Kali Thai from Mmm, Speciosa. It's brand new, and I kind of like it! As far as alternate vendors, I've been ordering from Botanical Wellness for the past few months (along with my regular orders from M.S.) and have found their quality to be consistently good. I haven't really been "wowed" by their service yet, and that's perhaps why I've hesitated to put them up on this page. They've always delivered on time, and their packaging indicates they have a pretty good budget. They are a Bikhuk reseller, and Bikhuk has been a trusted vendor for quite some time, as you may know.

    4. legal action would be a waste of time and as the others said it would bring negative publicity to kratom. I say it would be a waste of time because it's labeled as not for human consumption

  23. I have been using kratom for about 2 and a half years for pain management and I have tried sooo many different places I cant remember. I will say I have been using TKK but recently they had some credit card issues so I tried 2 others- kratom-k and kratom infusion. and they were both junk on the maeng da- usually I gag from the taste but one tasted like paper and the other was so "crunchy" with idk what bits n pieces in it. I will say that kratom-k sent me some samples (which I never get from TKK) but they were the same papery tasting stuff. Its so hit or miss sometimes I wish I could grow the stuff myself lol. Maybe one day I will build up the courage (and $$) to try some of the others listed on here (:

    2. Toss and wash I'm not a fan of, and I've tried apple sauce, and mixing it in water, well you can forget that it doesnt work. I've not made tea, but can I do that with powder? How else might I take this to make it more bearable.

    Thank you Rob

    1. Hi Chad!

I've never tried QuickKratom.com, but I suspect some other visitors have. I've heard it mentioned more than some others, so it might be worth sampling.

You can do tea with powder. It's going to be gritty, so that will take some getting used to, especially once you make it to the bottom of the cup. At that point, I generally just add some water, swirl, drink, and repeat until gone. I'm so used to it at this point (3 years) that I don't even think about it. I also use it with Greek yogurt, which turns out pretty well. I find that strongly-flavored drinks like apple cider, orange juice, or lemonade are good for mixing kratom. Get yourself a shaker and mix it up!

      Hope this helps!

      Rob

    2. I tried applesauce, juice & even bought 000 gel capsules to fill. Then my daughter showed me the BEST way to take it ever. Take a swig of water ,hold it in the back of your throat tipping your head slightly back. Then dump the tsp of powder in on top of the water & swallow immediately [do not swish] . There is NO TASTE or wasted product stuck to you cup like in tea or applesauce. Quick & easy!

      Delete
    3. The taste is disgusting to me and I gag trying to get it down. If I am going to mix it then I use orange juice or Sunny Delight, that seems to be the best at masking the taste. Do not use sweet tea! That is a nasty combination.

What I use on a regular basis is capsules. I purchased a capsule machine on E-bay for I think 15 dollars or so. I buy capsules in bulk by the 1000's for 10 bucks to make my dosage. Works for me.

  27. www.kobrakratom.com should be added to the list for sure. :) They have good quality capsules priced the same as powder and if you use promo code '20OFF' they're even cheaper! I went to www.mmmspeciosa.com before I found these guys. I love mmmspeciosa but I when I found these capsules for the same price I had to switch. Not a big fan of the 'tosh-n-wash' for obvious reasons, lol.

  30. Hello guys!! I have never usedKratom supplements but I have heard that these supplements are best for increasing the body energy as well as building the muscles.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi Cris! You'll definitely see energy benefits, more with some strains than others. I have a blog post about strains on this site that links to a site with good descriptions of the various strains. I don't know that there's a direct correlation between kratom and muscle-building, but I suspect the increased energy may help you put more into your workouts, which could result in increased muscle growth!

      Delete
    2. Chris-you may be thinking of yohimbe for exercise. I guess if you tried, you could use a green strain for energy and a red strain to sleep.Sleep is great for muscle building, however if this is what you are seeking then try supplements like jack3d or n.o. xplode.
To the hate the toss and wash folks its usually the dusty kratom powder making you choke. If you make a paste with some honey and then toss and wash with something sweet you may like it. I make a double strenth crystal lite and wash with that. At least the honey paste stops any powder from choking you. Dr-B

  31. Hello, I currently buy krantom capsules, it gets very pricey. I see after some research it would be cheaper to buy the powder, and make your own capsules.. Has anyone had experience in doing this? Do I simply buy capsules and scoop the krantom in there?!? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi! It's definitely cheaper to buy powder. You can buy capsules, and there are actually devices to help you fill the capsules. The Kratom King sells both capsules, and the capsule filler, here: http://www.thekratomking.com/category_s/44.htm. You may be able to find both items cheaper elsewhere, but these folks came to mind since I use them regularly and remember stumbling on those products. I've never used either, so can't offer much advice, but hopefully this gets you started!

    2. Anon from dr-b- Why dont you try just taking the powder.Once you master the technique it is so quick and easy. Having to cap is a pain, time consuming, and still costs more than just taking the powder. To begin you can put your K into a small glass and add a pinch of cinnamon. Then add honey and stir until you have a thick paste. You can spoon the paste into your mouth and wash it down with something sweet.

  36. I've tried Kratom King twice, both Maeng Da and Red Vein Thai. In fact, I just downed 10gs of the Red Vein because I haven't felt anything from smaller doses of either batch. Recently I've been seeing a lot of internet postings stating that their product has gone way downhill. I'll give this another hour before deciding.

I also ordered some red vein thai crushed leaf from iamshaman.com. I used the coffee grinder to powder it and then made tea, adding a little lemon juice before bringing to a boil and steeping. THIS stuff did not disappoint, very relaxing and a light body buzz. Going to place an order with mmm specios and bouncing bear botanicals now, will report back. Also going to try Coastal Kratom as they are located in my backyard.

    1. Nice. Thanks for sharing. I've never even considered using the grinder to make the grain finer! I use the tea-lemon juice recipe as well from time to time.

I've noticed TKK has gotten some negative feedback. I haven't ordered from them in a while, but never had a problem with their product. The Bali was always respectable. I'll have to give them a try again and see how the product checks out.

      Delete
    2. Please do and let me know your thoughts on it. It smells normal but seems to have ZERO effect, and that's with full ingestion, not making tea. I do make tea out of the RVT from iamshaman, their product really has been top notch but they're a little more expensive, and I'm not sure I'm getting the full quantity for what I paid. However, quality is the most important factor in my vendor decision, so I'll continue to stick with them. Looking forward to trying MMM and BBB, then CK. By the way, thanks a lot for the posts Rob, very helpful for new fans of this amazing plant.

  37. Just a note for kratom users. It is becoming somewhat scarce and for many vendors the quality is going down. Big brother is also taking a look at kratom imports. If you have noticed, all vendors now say not for human consumption when only a few years back they used to describe for you what kind of buzz and how stong. They even used to sell tea bags. TKK used to sell top shelf stuff and tell you all about the buzz.
One of the big reasons for the shortage is that prescription painkillers have really been screwed down and controlled. You cant even get refill on pain scripts, so people are heading to kratom in masses. Not only do vendors sell out, but they are offering less quality. The extracts are sufferring awfully. Sorry but all good things like kratom dont hang around forever. The secret of kratom is out. And remember...it is only for incense now. Dr-B

  41. I'm new to acquiring kratom on-line, but have a few recent experiences I'd like to share. First of all, this blog is great, I've found it a great resource on kratom, and where to go to acquire it. Ok, so a few weeks ago I tried the vendor https://www.getkratom.com. I ordered 2 ounces of Classic Bali for 23 dollars total (that includes shipping, which was 5 dollars). It arrived in 3 days. I was impressed because I live in Hawaii. I then ordered 4 ounces of their super indo kratom, for 47 dollars total (still 5 dollars for shipping). I was happy with the potency and experiences from these two orders. I'm new to kratom, but I was impressed with every aspect of my dealings with this on-line vendor. I then ordered 8 ounces of red indo kratom for 60 dollars (5 shipping again). I received the kratom in 3 days. I tried it, and it didn't really do anything. It tasted similar to the other 2, but after ingesting about 2 grams, I felt nothing. I upped it by 2 grams each hour until I started to feel dizzy, like being drunk. I felt no sedation, no euphoria, just crappy and dizzy. I did this 3 times over the next couple of days, and the same effect happened each time. Nothing until about 5 grams, then around 5-7, a terrible dizziness/sick feeling. I knew it would likely be less potent than the other 2 because of the much cheaper price, but I felt that the batch was crap. I emailed them over a week ago stating nicely that I felt nothing from it until a certain amount was taken, then I felt sick and dizzy. I suggested that perhaps it was a bad batch. I asked them if anybody else has commented on it. I was very polite, but got the point across that I was disappointed. I asked if I could send the rest back (~7 ounces) for a partial refund OR store credit. I never got a reply back. I feel that i'm out 60 bucks. Bummer. Just thought I would share that. I also have had a very positive experience just recently. I ordered from mmmspeciosa last week......200g of classic bali, and I picked 10g of green malay as the sample, all for 79 dollars, including shipping to Hawaii. What came in the package was the 200g of bali, with 25g of green malay, 10g of white kali, and 10g of red kali. I was surprised that so many samples were thrown in. I also received a thank you note from someone that works there. I tried the white kali, and the bali, both are great, much better than what I received from https://www.getkratom.com. I will never buy from that place again, I feel like they scammed me with the red indo. And the fact that they never responded to the email, makes them quite scummy IMO. I can't comment on the quality on the kratom from mmmspeciosa, other than I find it quite strong and good. I'm a newb in that regard. But I'm familiar with opiates, and both varieties from mmmspeciosa have that relaxing euphoric feel to them. Anyway, sorry this is so wordy, hope this helps someone out there. I know mmm is highly regarded by most people here, I wrote this post mostly for buyers to beware of https://www.getkratom.com.

    1. First mistake is to not increase amounts in a given day. If one teaspoon did not work today then try 2 teaspoons tomorrow, 3 teasoons the next day etc, until you find your dose. What you experienced was an overdose. Remember that kratom, esp green strains can stay active up to 10 hours, so you had building up going on in your system. Also when finding your dose have an empty stomach. If say your dose is 3 teaspoons then stick with that. That will probably be your dose for all strains. You have to do this same prodcedure all over if you switch to any enhanced products.
Remember that kratom is not for human consumption, so dont even think about trying to get your money back. You went too much too fast.
If you are accustomed to opiates then you may as well know that only enhanced strains will work for you. You can't go from 4 painkillers per day to 2 teaspoons of kratom a day and expect similar results. Start all over my friend, and this time slow down and do this with precision ,not hit and miss.

  47. I began doing Kratom in mid-2014. I was getting Maeng Da Kratom powder from a local Kava Bar which I was satisfied with. Did it for a few months. I moved back to NC a few months ago and have been getting kratom at a local head shop- again, very satisfied with the product, but a bit pricey. I just ordered Kratom online for the first time earlier this week- the De-Stemmed Maeng Da from The Kratom King. Last night, I did some, and it was disappointing. Not very euphoric. It was a little bit stimulating, but that could've just been me. A few minutes after taking it, I felt very sick and nauseous. A friend of mine recommended TKK- I called her today to tell her about my experience and she said that her boyfriend had the same thing happen to him. I have just burned the White and Red Maeng Da and the aroma is great and I would suggest trying them out.

I cant believe I have been paying so much money for a fraction of the quantity for over a year. Finally got into the kcforum and the community highly recommended this vendor.

    3. Awesome! Glad it worked out for you. FYI, there's no obligation on this blog to talk about "burning" kratom, except of course, if you actually do burn it. I eat kratom with yogurt, or drink it with tea or juice, and I don't feel the need to talk about it in code, and definitely don't want people here to feel like they need to say that the "burn" kratom, either. It's leaf; we can consume it any way we wish!

    4. Good to know, just wanted to make sure my comment was approved. The Green Vein Borneo so far has been the best so far. It even slightly numbs my tongue and the back of my throat.

    5. I ordered from them also fast nicely packaged. They are a little low on product right now. I have used dozens of vendors and they have good quality. Waiting for them to get more product. Kratom gave me a quality of life from pain of fibromyalgia. I cant even tell you how much I appreciate this herb. Pray it stays legal. I don't know what else will help people with cronic pain. It also got me off high dose pain meds no withdrawl.

  52. The Only vendor I will use is Coastal Kratom. I have tried many vendors, including all the trusted vendors listed on this blog and nothing comes close to Coastal. Not only is his quality and potency the best; he always gives you more kratom than you ordered.

  56. I've tried most of the companies on this list, but as of the past few months I have been using Hawksbillbotanicals.com. Due to an employment change I started looking high and low for a quality kratom at the most affordable price available. After a few disappointments, I came across Hawksbill Botanicals. This company has the best prices for quality kratom that I have found in the few years I have been using it.

    1. Hi Layla!

I never did get your Facebook message. Sorry about that, and I'm sorry I took so long to respond. It takes a while to get on the list, because I am only one dude with a full-time job, and I need to develop a relationship with the vendor over a period of time. Usually, that involves a few successful shipments and good quality products. I'm definitely game for trying some samples and writing up an objective review of my experience! I may consider offering some ad space at some point, but haven't figured out the logistics of that yet :-)

    1. Hi! Thanks for getting in touch with me, and I apologize for the delay. The list was formed from years of dealing with a small set of vendors, so it's not simply a matter of getting some free samples and saying "Wow, that's great! I'll add them to the list!" Unfortunately, I'm just one guy, and a full-time software developer and father. I really wish I had the time to develop relationships with vendors, but I simply don't. What I could do is sample some of your product and write up a review (similar to the one I did for Coastal Kratom). Let me know if that works for you!

  63. Rob, Thanks for all the great info you provide. I've been using your site since Dec. of last year and have found it invaluable. I have used a couple of the trusted vendors (Mind and Mood, and Botanical Wellness) and have had good experiences with both. One thing I've noticed since I started is that my tolerance has increased. I started out using about a teaspoon and now I'm using 1-2 heaping tablespoons. Usually, 1. The other thing I notice is that the effect isn't the same as the first couple of months. I usually take it before I go to bed and after about 15 minutes I would feel a calmness and lessening of soreness. Sleep is so much better. These days the effect isn't quite so intense. Given that you've used it for some time I wonder what your experience has been. I should note that the first couple of months that it was better was during the period in which I purchased through Mind and Mood. The last two were from Botanical Awareness. Do you find that some of these trusted vendors have a better product? I chose Botanical Awareness because the price is so good. $95 a pound is a lot better than $146 a pound but if the product is much better... Anyway, I was thinking about going back to Mood and Mind but wanted to see what your experience is first. Perhaps both are the same quality and I just have to realize the body only gives you that initial intensity when it's first experiencing the kratom. Thanks. Jim

    1. Howdy!

I'm so blown away by the fact that people actually use this site, and get something out of it. This literally started out as a single page on a previous blog of mine, that I threw together in a few minutes. I figured some people would stumble on it, but this is kind of wild.

My tolerance has increased, too, over time, and has leveled off at about a tablespoon (7-ish grams) per dose at around 3-4 doses per day. I'm able to keep it at this level because about every month or so, I'll reduce my doses to about 3-4g. I've never been one to stop taking it altogether. I sort of consider it my "coffee". My doses come early in the morning when I get to work at about 7am, at lunch time, and then a higher, relaxing dose at around 7pm. Like you mentioned, I think the initial kratom doses are the most potent. After time, you know what to expect, but it's pretty rare to reproduce the initial experience. On the other hand, though, I'm not interested anymore in intensity. There are certain annoying conditions that kratom treats well. If I wanted a fun or super mind-altering experience, I'd go with something else :-)

If you are looking to get your tolerance back down, you might try a stem and vein variety. Mmm, Speciosa has one (Start-Over-Stem), and I'm sure others do as well. I've definitely read the experiences of some folks who swear by stem and vein, and they indicate it has dramatically reduced their tolerance and is a good way to start over. I've not experienced that myself, but I probably haven't given stem and vein a fair shake.

Mood and Mind is awesome, and I really enjoyed their "Elephant" kratom. I try to rotate through the list of vendors on a regular basis. I haven't heard of Botanical Awareness, but Botanical Wellness also has product for $95. They have good, reliable service, but I haven't always been "wowed" by their product. It's effective for my needs, and I give it about a 3.5 on a scale of 1-5.

The vendors I've been using lately are Mmm, Speciosa, and Coastal Kratom. Coastal Kratom is not yet on the list, but I did review their product. After a few more successful orders, I suspect they will be added to the list. The owner is a great guy, and very ethical.

Hope this helps. It was a bit wordy, but I wanted to give you as much information as I can in the short time I have at the moment. Sorry for the delay in responding!

      Delete
  64. Hey, thanks! I appreciate the "wordy" response. Its all good info. I will check out the "Elephant" kratom as well as those two other vendors.

Oops. I meant to say Botanical Wellness. I guess at 5:00 AM I'm not as sharp. :) Thanks for your feedback on your experience with them.

  65. "Kratom Underground" is a phenomenal place to buy from. They're based right outside of Austin, TX. Since I live in Waco, just north of them, my order arrives in two days even with their free shipping option. If I need it quicker, they'll overnight it but the shipping is obviously then pretty pricey. They have a wide variety of strains, sell it for a fair price, and with each purchase you can accumulate points which give you significant discounts on future orders. They also have a raffle each month for a 4oz bag of kratom which you enter simply by placing an order.

Kratom isn't the best I've ever had, but it's definitely good quality and definitely worth the price. They are discreet, and the credit card charge comes up as "UpBright Inc." Definitely recommend checking them out.

The name was 'Herbal Samurai' and from my personal expeience I give them an A+, the quality was fantastic and the shipping got to me mad quick.. plus all the bags weighed more than 1 oz. Prices were a bit higher, around mmm speciosa, but with the quality I honestly needed less of it to get the effect so it was well worth the price. Loved all of the Maeng Da & Bali, gonna order more soon so I'll see how the other strains are. Order came fast, overall A+, I'd recommend them

  67. This is my first time trying kratom, which I found out about quite by accident. I was looking for stores in my locale that sold incense and one of them, which happened to be a head shop, had an ad for kratom. I resisted going to a head shop wound up buying the incense online. Well, then being curious I spent a couple of hours online investigating this kratom thing. I don't have any kids and I'm not very social so I was surprised to discover that kratom has been around for awhile and is growing in popularity. As you see by my being here, that I not only checked out vendors but forums of users as well.

IMHO there were lots of conflicting comments in this thread. Interestingly enough, I was just about to order from the KratomKing when I came upon this page and changed my mind based on the comments here.

Well, that left me in a quandary so, just for the heck of it, I took the advice of the last commentator and checked out Herbal Samurai. Wow, I was immediately impressed. The site owners stress quality right up front. The pages are clean and clear. BUT HERE'S WHAT SOLD ME . . .

Right there, in plain sight, was a STARTER PACK. Now go to any other website and you WILL see some sort of variety pack NEAR THE END of their selections FOR A MILLIONS DOLLARS A PACK. Obviously, I'm exaggerating somewhat. But let's get real. It's my first time and in order to buy a SAMPLE pack, you want me to spend $150 DOLLARS??? When it could turn out that I don't even like the product???

Herbal Samurai made it totally easy for me to select a simple starter pack that sells for just under $40. NOW THAT'S REASONABLE. Those other guys are marketing to experienced users. Herbal Samurai is including EVERYBODY. I looked at a bunch of vendors during the past eight hours and the moment I hit the Herbal Samurai site, it was no contest. At least for me, it was a lot more user-friendly than the other sites I looked at.

And once again, I was also sold by their emphasis on quality. Did I pay more than average? I don't know and I really don't care. All I know is that someone cared enough to make it EASY for me to get started and didn't require me to give a liter of blood in the process.

My thanks to whoever dropped that suggestion to try out HS. (And I'm sure HS thanks you also) :>)

  69. Hi all,
I just discovered the site. GREAT info from everyone. My only wish is to discover the desired warm fuzzy effect that y'all seem to be experiencing from specific strains from reliable vendors. That would be a godsend under my present circumstances still dealing with chronic pain issues. I have a high tolerance based on this... Just burnt 2 tbls of KaliKave White Thai from a trusted vendor y'all have mentioned with zero effect :(. It would be great to find a strain to get the uplifting energetic good ol feeling effect desired. Sounds as the the red and white MD might work but any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Perhaps I will give the above advised Herbal Samari a try. And seek out a good vendor for UEI as past reports on this strain sound interesting. Thanks for advise forthcoming.

Just cant seem find the desired effect y'all seem to be feeling. It is that warm fuzzy uplifying energizing aspect I am desiring, along with taking away some degree of discomfort. Tired of medication that has its ultimate downside. Tolerence is an issue. Some of you have stated you have been in the same boat in the past. If anyone would care elaborating on their road I would appreciate it very much. I just tried 2 tbsp of KaliKava White Thai to no affect. Same withtnhe Tawa tua strain, bith from a reliable vendor too. Iyt appears people experience with MD offers the desired effects. Also I have heard about UEI but no sure about it. Anyway, just wanted to chime in with y'all seeking soem help with where and what to do... Thanks Paul

  71. Paul, Kratom is a fickle herb. What works great for one person can leave another feeling flat. That's the reason some long established Kratom forums have trade threads. You have to experiment and find what strain does the trick for you. A good sampler from somebody like Sacred Plant Life or Kratom Underground would give you a low cost opportunity to check out the different strains out there. Try to stay away from UEI and other extracts until you've completely rum the gamut of plain leaf. Extracts work great......almost too well but they're totally ruin your tolerance for regular leaf. Look into some Kratom FB groups, lots of beginners in there sharing experiences

    ReplyDelete
  72. Paul-that warm fuzzy feeling can be from a few different strains of kratom. If you are very pain pill tolerant, then you may well need the enhanced or extracts. I would try an enhanced bali or maeng da.There is a small little shop that has great service but no longer carries the enhanced stuff, but they do carry elephant ear kratom. You might try that. They call it P.O.E.K....stands for P***ed off elephant kratom. It is both fuzzy and energetic. When you talk about that fuzzy feeling I am assuming you mean from pain meds. If you noticed some folks take a pain med and get hyper and another will take it and sleep all day.You won't know till you try it. My fav is not listed here but I do love them. You can goggle them. Sapphire Botanicals. They are in New Orleans. Dr B

  73. Great site, been using kratom for pain and and energy for the last few years, take a brake every couple of days to avoid withdrawals and high tolerance instead of rotating strains in case I have to stop suddenly happened once before and did not like it. This works pretty well.
I been purchasing from Bikuh for a few years now and have never been disappointed also the price is right, Luc Kramer the owner is very passionate about his product and responds to all the emails himself, the products are consistently good and he will refund your money if not satisfied.
While waiting for shipment I have purchased from Phytoextractum.com and they are pretty decent so far, good product and fast shipping also gives you discounts all the time, only the price is more than I like to pay, but don't mind in a pich, they also sell live plants I purchased two I killed one and the other is growing real well(i am in florida) I was buying from overseas before Bikhuk and it was great quality but suddenly the quality took a dump seems they were mixing stems and veins with the leaf product. I just ordered from a farmer in Malaysia, seems honest and the stuff is fresh,he says people get impatient since he picks the leaves when he gets the orders, the processing takes a few days and most don't want to wait, he has trees grown from Thai seeds, guess that is the closest you can get to Thai kratom since you cant get it from there, so far he has been up front and honest will see how good the product is when it gets here.
Thanks again for the great blog will report on the new stuff when it gets here

  75. AnonymousJune 9, 2015 at 10:18 AM, it all depends on what you want it for, some will perk you up some will mellow you out some give you a little of both, although some of those effects are dose related as well.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anon june9. A good rule of thumb is that the green or white strains give enegy. Green Malay, Maeng Da etc, and red strains are more relaxing/sleep inducing. Reds are Red Borneo, Bali etc. Or you mix them to make specific strain or blend. I think that sapphire botanicals will make a blend for you.

Anon june 8. You do not get withdrawl from kratom. I have been using it for over 6 years at twice per day.I was tired of needing pain pills for my knees. I was tired of begging docs for more as I got tolerant. Now if you want to talk withdrawl there it is..right from the doc!
In my first few years I was scared of addiction myself, because there was a lot of verbiage online saying it was addictive. Every 6 months I would take 2 weeks off, and never once ...ever felt any different. After a few years of that I did not bother anymore.

I did just take a week off because I was out, and still...no withdrawal. People that write that have nothing to do with their time. Folks are always scared of what they do not understand.
I have ,years ago, taken too much of an enhanced strain and got a little sick stomach and had nystagmus, but that is about it. Kratom has saved my life. It is a wonderful herb.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Bullshit - -You cannot say across the board that you cannot develop a physical dependance on Kratom. That kind of talk is sheer ignorance and does not help the Kratom community at large. SOME people do not have Kratom withdrawals.........Kratom works differently on everyone.

Go to any Kratom forum anywhere on the internet, anywhere where Kratom vets congregate. Not FB people who've been using Kratom for a few months, I mean places where folks have 6,8 or 10 years of experience with the leaf and you'll always find threads on Kratom withdrawal.......How to lessen it, what herbs can help, steps you can take to minimize withdrawal symptoms. Any real Kratom veteran that networks with other users of the leaf will readily admit the possibility of dependency are very real. Most are philosophical about it, reasoning that it's better than a dependency on narcotics.....and it is.

The degree of withdrawal people will experience is dependent on several factors. Your own body chemistry, length of use, amount of usage....and some won't experience WDs at all. I suffer mild, cold like symptoms if anything when I stop cold but my wife gets the whole 9 yards. Restless legs, anxiety, cramps......just like opiate WDs but not as bad.

Yes, Kratom is a miracle herb but we have to be honest about it. Spreading disinformation like "Kratom isn't addictive at all" doesn't help anyone and could set somebody up for a nasty surprise. Anybody saying that may not experience WDs themselves, but sure as shit, they have never networked with the long time Kratom community at large....nor have they ever watched somebody suffer through Kratom withdrawal.

    2. Bullshit is right AnonymousJune 16, 2015 at 8:37 PM, as wonderful as Kratom is it will give you withdrawals if you stop abruptly and it's not pleasant ,I experienced it when I neglected to order from overseas while I had less than a weeks supply, it was the weekend and unless I paid overnight fees, buying from a US vendor was not an option. Most people are in denial and any thing you say negative they will dispute, specially some vendors.

  79. Go to any kratom forum anywhere and there are a bunch of junkies taking other goodies besides kratom and blame it on the kratom. I have used kratom for many years at 3x /day and used the enhanced and extracts. Most of my friends use it along with other things and then blamed the kratom. My brother claimed to have felt like he had the flu for 2 day and that is the closet to withdrawal that I have heard of. So for me...totally non addictive. As stated above...use in the proper manner...and dont hide your drug use behind kratom and put the blame on to the kratom. I have tried to addict myself so many times that I gave up trying. Also what is your experitse that makes you so sure? You read about it? Did you get addicted? Or did you read forums?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Hi DrB here.Let us jsut say that Kratom is not highly addictive. Tobacco is a drug and addictive to some, highly addictive to some and not addictive at all to some. The same can be said for other drugs like alcohol, and caffeine. Actually the same can be said for pot. Those with addictive personality traits seem to get cross and multi addicted. They smoke heavily, drink, use drugs, drink copious amounts of coffee etc.
My comment on this matter is that kratom is not so addictive that it should be illegal, and not as addictive as tobacco or alcohol. I have seen kratom used to get off of opiates many times. I have also seen it used to get off of alcohol. I am an Iron Man athlete, and have no experience with these things other than clinical, but my vote would be to keep kratom legal.

  82. Anon of june 16th I have to agree with drb. I am an msw and often see addiction. I have never seen anyone addicted to kratom who ONLY uses kratom. I know of a few cases where there was opiate addiction and the kratom got them off. They used kratom for 4-5 times per day for months and even years. They were able to stop the kratom and move on in life. It is the closest to a miracle as I have seen in my career. . So as Drb said, addicts are usually cross addicted and you may be reading forums but remember the internet is full of lies. That person who said kratom is addictive and ruined his life may be a strict preacher who is against anything. It may also be a kid playing tricks for a laugh, or an old granny with nothing to do. Go to some AA meetings and watch them smoke and drink coffee and tremble for a drink. Kratom is not in the same league as tobacco, alcohol, caffeine...and certainly not in the same class as opiates.
Is it a drug? Yes. A drug is anything that when taken can have an effect on the phsiology. That includes most herbs, asprins, Tums, ex lax, coffee, diet pills, tylenol...and even food. Did you know that 2 extra strength tylenols 4-5 times per day can kill you in 10days? Everything is relative, so relative to life ruining drugs such as crystal meth, coke vicodin, pot, xtasy, heroin, morphine flacca, lsd...and the most dangerous of all .... alcohol,.. makes kratom a lightweight. Alcohol is the only drug that I know of that when taken makes one unable to talk, to walk, to drive, to reason etc.THE ONLY ONE. And I have seen heroin addicts talk way better than alcoholics.
I am not going to say that kratom is or is not addictive, because some folks can get addicted to anything..including food. Like Drb said...let us just say that kratom is not highly addictive at all when it is the only drug being used.
So I hope that I put things in perspective for everyone. Now enjoy your kratom .Me? I am addicted to coke cola...I must have one NOW!

here is a decent review i just googled and found http://productreviewportal.com/where-to-buy-kratom-online/

  88. I wondered if someone would mention Moon Kratom. They have the best and most potent Maeng Da I've had. Their prices are the lowest I've seen too. I like their Yellow Indo as well. I also like Green Leaf Kratom's Pure Energy Blend and they display one of the longest list of kratom strains I've seen. I must admit I am drawn to the simple websites more than I am the slick commercialized ones.

    1. I read on your Yodeling Dad blog you like to support local vendors and I see from your Twitter account that you are in Austin. Give Moon Kratom a try. They're in Austin and they're the best! Wait til you see their prices and it's the most potent kratom I've found... No, I'm not affiliated with them, just impressed by them. I'd love to see a review of them by you.

  89. Found a new spot specifically for Maeng Da for extremely cheap. The name of the site is teamgrounded.com. It is a brand new site and I was told they are adding new products soon. Not the most functional site nor does it offer the biggest variety, however the quality is up to par with anyone else I have tried. $8/Oz average.

  90. My trusted vendors are Transcendence Rising (Formerly Dayak Chill Spot), Bean Botanicals, and Sacred Plant Life. All three are really awesome and have really taken care of me over the last year or so!

  91. Thank you so much for this informative and helpful blog! I have been researching kratom all summer and your site is the first really credible and objective one I have stumbled across. Is there any way you could recommend a specific Kratom for chronic pain? Is there a brand or type or color or vendor that happens to be know for treating pain more so than average? Thank you for any guidance at all - my pain levels are severe and I am desperate for any assistance towards identifying something that might help.

    1. Ginger-I would not expect that kratom is going to do much for really bad pain. I hate to ruin your expectations, because kratom is no hydrocodone. What you try is Maeng Da, or red bali. Also you try mixing the 2 together. The reds tend to be better for sleep and pain, but some folks like the red bali with some of Maeng da in it. Also there have been some reports of folks using the kratom along with their prescription for pain. Some folks cut the prescription in half and mix it with kratom. If that works for you that would be great!

    2. Hi Olive,In my experience with kratom and the general consensus among most kratom users is that you are gonna have to experiment a bit yourself with trying different strains.Everyone's body chemistry seems to react differently to different strains. Most people seem to like a good Red vein strain for pain yet for me personally a good white vein helps alot better and I get almost no effects from the red strains at all.The best way to figure out what strain works best for you,I would recommend buying a variety pack sampler, this way you wont be stuck with a bunch of one strain if that one doesnt work well for you.Hope this helps -----peace,love,&Happiness----- Chris

  92. Hey Rob,My name is Chris,I just stumbled upon this page when checking out new options as to where I should consider making my Kratom purchases from because as of lately it seems poor quality cheap Kratom has been flooding the market all over.Even vendor that I have always had great experience doing business with seem to be getting this same low grade product.this is insane to me,as a long time, many years enthusiast of Kratom I have never seen this explosion of "crap leaf powder" so to speak, engulf the industry.Ive talked to many a vendor, farmer, and enthusiast as myself and the general consensus is that with the very high demand of kratom people are just sourcing the cheapest most readily available stuff they can get their hands on.This seems to be partially to blame on the newer, younger entrapenuers trying to make a fast buck by promoting Kratom alongside the "legal high" lines, which created a boom in the kratom market (causing a much higher demand for cheap inventory)but is damaging to our whole entire kratom community!!!This special herb should be treated with respect as a medicinal tool but instead alot of the younger snake oil salesman are giving it a bad name/rep. with the legal high nonsense.Anyway to get back to the point of this blogpage, after a long time of searching for a new vendor (for my personal stash needs)because my "old trusty" vendors have jumped on the cheap bandwagon, I finally found an amazing place to purchase from in which I was extremely impressed with the quality of Kratom they carry. They are called TopShelfKratom. All I can say is WOW!If you have a chance Rob,I highly recommend this company to you and anyone else reading this. The highest quality medicinal leap powder I have tried or seen in years!Hope this helps someone/anyone who has been having trouble finding great quality kratom as it used to be do to this current quality controll issue across the board.----Peace,Love,&Happiness----Chris

  93. Hi chris- Top shelf is EXTREMELY expensive. Their platinum extrat is $65 for 10 grams. That is more than gold standard that is considered the best. Plus they offer no description of the product. So they want 65$ for a measly 10grams and for a product that I know nothing about. I think not

    1. I agree they are very expensive but I'd rather pay a little more than waste money on "BUNK" kratom like the stuff flooding the market right now. They really are the best I have tried in a very long time.I believe they have ounces for like $12 which is a little high but not extreme for a product of such high quality.I also tend not to mess with the tinctures and extracts personally since they shoot my already high tolerance through the roof.Their customer service is Top notch also,so if you had a question concerning their product I'm sure they would get right back to you with an answer.Just my 2 cents.

  94. Does anyone know what happened to mmmspeciosa's classic bali? I have been checking for weeks and I haven't seen even a hint as to when this product will be in stock. I use mmmsp and mood and mind exclusively. I love both vendors. What do people order from mmmsp in substitute for classic bali? I would appreciate suggestions as it is expensive to experiment.

  96. Thanks for the list, Rob! I've recently been pretty impressed with Austin Vape and Smoke's house blends. The prices are pretty reasonable and I like to shop local. Their stuff is available online too, which is cool. I hope it takes off for them. http://austinvapeandsmoke.com/product-category/kratom/

  98. Hi Rob, I just checked out TKK to get some capsules. Which ones would you recommend for a first time user with a high tolerance? and (forgive my ignorance) What is the dosage to follow, and in this presentation are they taken orally? I would really appreciate your advice. Thx.

  99. I am not rob, but may be able to help until he answers. You say you are a first time user but have a high tolerance? That does not make sense...,or do you mean a high tolerance to opiates, but not kratom? Just start out with 3-5 capsules with your favorite liquid. Try maeng da, or bali. There is a good place to start until you find what you like.Buy small amounts and experiment with the different strains. Tolerance to opiates may make you tolerant to kratom...but you won't know until you try.I often use kratom to treat opiate problems.

    1. Tolerance to opiates in my experience does not correspond to tolerance to kratom. I started using kratom with a high tolerance to codeine, and I was taking about 4 grams per day. Over two years of kratom use, my tolerance has gone up about once every 6 months, and I take 10-11 grams now. It's very strange to me how kratom tolerance doesn't increase like opiates do, and when it does go up, it doesn't go up by much.

I've heard that using kratom stems can "reset" one's tolerance to kratom, but I've never tried it.

  101. I am a daily user of Kratom and have bought from several different vendors over the years. I consistently check prices and quality of other vendors, and I keep going back to kratomforcheap.com Derrick is a great guy, offers Kratom at the best prices I've found for bulk, and is very dependable. He also personally travels to his international suppliers to personally test the product before he offers it to his customers. My last order of 3 lbs was just as good quality as my first order. He also offers discounts for 1,2 and 3 lbs (10, 20 and 30% off). I haven't strayed from my usual Maeng Da strain so I can't vouch for his other products. He will be very honest with you regarding his products, and if he doesn't think you will be happy with the product you are interested in, he will tell you. He once discouraged me from buying a more expensive product he ordered once because he didn't think I would be happy with it.

If you're looking for bulk kratom, http://kratomforcheap.com is well worth trying out. I don't work for Derrick or have any interest in the company and honestly if supplies are low (like they are right now) I'd rather you didn't buy from him, lol. But I sincerely want to help the kratom community so I feel contributing my review for a good/honest vendor is my duty.

  102. Thank you for establishing this blog. I found it after purchasing from specialtyherbstore.com. Specialtyherbstore.com, like many of your trusted stores, has a point system and carries capsules, powders, herbs, teas and other things. They have a product they make themselves which we like called Cajun Kratom. It is a blend of Kratom, Cayenne Pepper, Tumeric to help with pain and inflammation. It works well on arthritis.

I've since tried using your trusted stores trying to get the cost down. All the way from 50cents a gram to 1 cent a gram (if you wait 2 weeks and fill the caps yourself). I've also used some of the sites suggested by the people who comment on your blog. The only problem I have is with the produce called Kavatonnes. I don't get anything but a nasty taste.

Anyway, I believe you blog is doing a great service and I hop you keep it up.

    Many Thanks,,

I've since tried many of your "trusted" vendors and have not been disappointed. I even tried some from the comment section. My only problem was with a product called Kavatonnes. It tasted nasty and had no effect. I would like to give a "shout out" to a place we were passing through in Columbia Maryland. PAARS Market sells Kratom over the counter and it was my first time ever buying it. If the Indian gentleman who sold it was not so personable and kind I don't think I ever would have tried it in the first place. If you're ever in Maryland, Snowden Parkway isn't too far away. Go get you some :)

Thank you again for the blog. May it continue to grow....

  104. I recommend buyers take their research correct before purchasing of kratom. Capture opportunity to study the ratings of other people and the suggestions they provide in blog postings. Basically, kratom guides are necessary for their users. Completely examine the website which does provide your ordering and make sure it is reliable. Because today several sellers are found like Kratom Crazy, Kratom Online and Kratom Underground. But I suggest for kratom information from every point of view first visit http://kratomguides.com/category/kratom-basic-guides/ and read info before purchase.

  106. Hi, I'm a newbie to Kratom and was leary of a number of things from affects, quality and website to make my purchase. After visiting blogs, joining different websites and reading what they had to say, I decided to go with Green Leaf Kratom. They were more informative on the possible uses and possible effects of the different kratom types. I was looking for 2 things: 1. I have a number of back and body aches and pains, from an active sports lifestyle and 2. I wanted something for mental alertness and energy, something for my work besides coffee. They have the individual kratom and also blends. I bought the Maeng Da(Red Vein) for the aches and pains and the Energy Blend for the other. It showed up in a week and was well packaged, in heavy plastic, airtight, Ziploc and heat sealed bags. They were very fine ground and 25gr. I was hesitant as how to take it, from my reading other peoples experiences. I took a 1/2 teaspoon of red vein and as I was putting it in my mouth I accidently slightly inhaled. BAD MOVE!!! It hit the back of my throat and stuck there. I just about pucked and couldn't stop coughing. The next time I got the spoon wet, stuck it in the bag, then made sure my mouth had a lot of saliva and then put the spoon in mouth and let it soak in my mouth. I let it sit for a minute or so, breathing through my nose before swallowing. This kept the bad taste and bitterness everyone spoke to a minimum and I didn't want to swallow it thinking the stomach acid may minimize the affects. I noticed the affects coming on, the pain went away, I was laid back and feeling a bit irie. I took it couple more times that night and had a great night sleep. The affects last a couple of hours each time I took it. The energy blend was also a great affects and benefits, but, I have to take it a couple of more times and decide whether I want to use it during work. It makes you alert, but, a slight nervous or jittery feeling. Like too much caffeine. I didn't really notice the bad taste and bitterness everyone spoke about, it was a grassy taste, so not too bad, just need to get used to it.
I highly recommend Green Leaf Kratom!!!

  107. If you’ve done querying on the right sites to purchase kratom. Here you will discover some of the kratom vendors that have provided my orders when buying this product. My first requirement is a good quality product. I constantly see for good buyer service and best rates. Several vendors will transfer samples. Some bloggers recommend Kratom Therapy – www.kratomtherapy.com, that has high-quality kratom. Some other vendors name that are presented on new kratom information provider site http://kratomguides.com/, which explain every vendor with the help of reviews of their products. I suggest all read that article and take some good information from here. http://kratomguides.com/the-best-places-to-buy-kratom/
