Keep Kratom Legal

Kratom has helped me manage fatigue, depression, and anxiety, and the change I've seen has been remarkable. Like me, there are many others whom this plant has helped. I consider kratom no different from other herbs such as St. John's Wort, ginkgo, ginseng, kava, etc..., which have also provided for relief for a great number of people in various ways. Kratom has a place among these natural alternative therapies, and we should not be limited to the medicine that is produced by pharmaceutical companies, though there is a place for those drugs.

The following organizations are helping to both educate people about kratom and ensure that it remains legal:

  2. I find using Kratom is a great way to treat temporary pain without a prescription. It works quite well, and is ridiculous that people say they can get "high" from it. It does relax you a little but nothing like many illegal (or legal) drugs do. I don't see how it is anymore dangerous than other herbal supliments you can buy freely in the drug store. It is up to the individual person to look out for themselves, you would do much more harm to yourself if you took too much Tylenol as compared to if you took too much kratom. It's impossible to expect to shelter people from everything and anything that may harm them, while right in their medicine cabinet they have over the counter drugs that are much more dangerous...

    2. I wish there were more comments on this blog. I myself am very worried about our government and more specifically the FDA once again getting way more involved in our lives than they should. Kratom is a wonderful alternative to the numerous deadly pharmaceuticals that are pushed onto our society. I can already see the misinformation being spread in the media. Its an attempt to turn the public against kratom so they can ban it outright. Its a threat to the biotech companies putting billions into developing new psychoactive drugs and the ones already making billions. They dont care about our health or well-being. They only care about a quick dollar or maybe i should say trillions. Those of us who know the truth and value our rights should speak up and advocate kratom publicly. For those that dont know kratom is illegal in three states and there is not one verified death from kratom. Now compare those numbers to alcohol or cigarettes ...or prescription opiates and benzodiazapines both of which kratom can be a healthier lower risk alternative. Personally for me kratom has been a godsend. Ive dealt with anxiety and depression since I was very young probably due to childhood trauma. Lets just say I had a hard life. Those problems led me into drug addiction which brought me only more heartache. I found kratom. Now I dont use any harmful drugs and live a productive fulfilling and healthy life. I don't have any signs of anxiety or depression. I work and go to school full time and love everyday. I don't have money problems like i did when I was taking the prescription medications that didn't work. In fact the best they did was make everything worse. Im not the only one with this kind of experience so imagine what it would be like for me and the many others if the FDA had it there way and kratom was made illegal.

  3. Someone was recently inquiring about people who have had experience with kratom, and I told her my own. She was concerned about it being addictive. I told her that I first tried it about a year ago, liked it a lot, but kept forgetting that I had it in the cabinet. When I have a rare day that I really ned to just push through without a nap, I'll make a cup of kratom. Most of the time I don't think about it at all. I could see how the feeling could create a desire that might turn into a psychological addiction, or habit. I almost wish I would get just a teeny bit addicted so that I would at least remember that I have it earlier in the day than I do. I used to use heroin, many year ago. I think that never would have happened if I had known about kratom. I believe that any herb needs to be treated with respect and knowledge. One person's body may react very differently with another's, even with the same strain. Do your homework, especially making sure to hear directly from those who have used it.

  4. I recently was in a pretty bad motorcycle accident and I broke 8 ribs, 4 of them twice for a total of 12 breaks as well as a broken collar one and a condition known as flail chest. It has been 3 weeks since the accident and i have been struggling with pain ever since. Upon being released from the hospital I was sent home with instruction to put on 2 25mcg/h phentanyl patches and to take 2 10/325 oxycodone pills every 4 hours. This didn't eliminate my pain but it made it mostly bearable. After 2 and a half weeks my phentanyl patches ran out and the doctor said he couldn't prescribe more. I have been in much increased pain until yesterday when I tried red leaf indo Kratom for the first time. I have taken 2 caps every 6 hours and I have to say I am really happy with my current level of pain. I didn't notice any other effects accept for maybe calmness but my pain is now better than it was before the phentanyl patches wore off. It has only been 24 hours since I first tried it but so far so very good

  5. I have been suffering from depression and anxiety almost my entirelifer, as well as a degenerative disc in my lower back and a slightly exaggerated kyphotic curve in myc neck for about 9 years now, blessing to a lot of pain and numb limbs from time to time. I started using Kratom from time to time about a year ago and it has been better to me in all of the previously mentioned ailments than any pharmaceutical drug has. If my insurance would cover Kratom as a medicine, I could see myself going from the 5 pills I take each day in order to getund through the day, down to one plant that has never given me any sort of physical withdrawal.

  6. Kratom is a magical medicinal plant say that all the kratom users. Kratom use produces many outcomes. These effects include benefits and as well as side effects. Benefits of kratom are used because it's an antidepressant medicine with euphoric properties. Also, side effects are caused by misuse or unproperly usage of kratom. That is the threats of kratom who produce by adding kratom in other drugs. Otherwise many countries ranked kratom under Drug of Concern as it is legal to use. Before use kratom, it is important to search and read instructions about kratom from any online drug form and online vendors sites.

  7. I am a young male 26 years of age and have been utilizing kratom for about a year now. I have had 5 knee surgeries and still have a considerable amount of pain just from the amount of trauma that particular part of my body has endured. As all who have to take a prescription pain medicine it led me through the downward spiral of addiction. Not just the physical addiction with the flu like symptoms upset stomach and complete discomfort but the mental addiction as well. I had been taking pain killers for almost 10 years when I stumbled on kratom. I was depressed from knowing that I was addicted to something that I had to obtain 9 times out of ten illegally, not to mention that 75 percent of my income went to my addiction. To date I haven't had a pain pill in a year and haven't wanted one. In the correct doses this is no more harmful than if you were drinking coffee. If this harmless plant is outlawed then I will be forced back down that lonely road of opiate addiction, just because the federal government and the massive pharmaceutical conglomerates are loosing some income. This plant was outlawed in Vietnam for almost 75 years due to the simple fact that it cut the profits from opium tax by nearly 60 percent, that should tell you the only thing that you need to know the only reason this will become illegal is do to the fact that the "Right Peoples" pockets aren't as fat they once were.

  8. I don't have a degree from Johns Hopkins medical center but I have been using this plant for about six moths, and wow. I just recently got engaged to the most beautiful woman in the world and moved in together and realized how bad my opiate addiction was. I was having trouble just covering my bills not to mention the fact I was never spoiling my woman like I should. I would spend on average about 65 percent of my income on pills. Now I haven't had a pill in all this time and don't intend to. I now have more of the two things what makes the world turn MONEY and HAPPINESS.

  9. Sadly the fact that you have been able to keep the 65% income in your pocket is the very reason this Miracle HERB will be scheduled as a narcotic. Greed is powerful and if you multiple the number of people that benefit from Kratom by the 65% savings then you come out with a small dent in the pocket of a wealthy company. It's a sad country we live in.
I have successfully stopped taking 8 prescriptions just by eating differently and taking a few daily vitamins along with Kratom. It's quite incredible.

  10. I suffer from fibromyalgia, depression, and severe anxiety. After suffering from the side effects from several prescribed medications, I found out about Kratom through a friend. It was like my prayers had been answered: the pain was bearable, my mood was stable, and my anxiety manageable. I've been taking kratom on and off for 3 years, and I can honestly say it has helped me through the hardest days of my life. My heart is breaking more and more everyday and I'm afraid nothing is going to help me now. Please, God or anyone, save us.

  11. It truly makes me sick that our government still thinks that making drugs illegal is going to solve the problem we have.. As a chronic ex heroin user I can truly say that kratom saved my life. Addicts are people with a disease and should be treated like patients with a health problem not criminals with a moral deficiency. We should be focusing more on getting people the proper help they need, such as treatment programs that educate and inform addicts about how to get and stay clean. Ive tried suboxone and methadone before and neither worked nearly as well as kratom did. I used it to ween down and detox from and never looked back since. I really hope that some day i can stop watching my friends die from this horrible disease and that our country will wake up and start helping eachother. I found everything i needed to know at thekratomboss.com .My hope is that this ban doesnt go through so people have a safe alternative to opiate abuse.

  12. I was hit by a retired policeman while bicycling. He rendered me disabled and I have a herniated disc and they separated shoulder. I can no longer walk or ride without pain. I can't afford the surgery. Kratom has helped me enough to exist. If you take it off the market I will be forced to go on the streets. You have no right to take this away because it is safer than pharmaceuticals. Not one person has died from Kratom. I am not addicted and I only take it as needed. Shame on you!

    1. I hope you're not shaming me! I'm the author of this blog and am very much for keeping kratom legal. At any rate, I'm sorry for all the pain you have suffered. I can only hope that the DEA will come to its senses, and have some sympathy for the plight of those who will suffer without kratom.
